Rivens returns to Coastal Carolina

07/06/2010 - Durham, NC (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - One-time North Carolina Central assistant coach Antoine Rivens has returned to the university to become the tight ends and offensive tackles coach for the Eagles.

Rivens spent the last seven seasons at Coastal Carolina. He spent four seasons (1999-2002) at North Carolina Central as assistant head coach and offensive line coach.

The former three-year starter on the offensive line at South Carolina also coached at Livingstone College, helping the Blue Bears to the 1997 and 1998 CIAA Conference titles.

In addition, former North Carolina Central offensive lineman Jamar Harp, who played for the Eagles from 2000-03, will serve as an offensive assistant coach.

North Carolina Central is competing as an independent this season and will play in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference beginning in 2011.

The AFC South and the NFC East are the favorite divisions to have the next Super Bowl champ among them in the NFL betting odds.
